Established in 1817, the Bank of Montreal is Canada's oldest bank. It served as Canada's central bank until 1935 and provided the financing for such development as the first transcontinental railway in the 1880s and participated in the creation of the Canadian federation in 1867. Bank of Montreal is the only bank to offer full-range financial services in both the United States and Canada. They also have branches located in Europe, Latin America, and East Asia.
The Bank of Montreal is Peterborough's oldest financial institution, established in 1831. Currently, they have three branches located in Peterborough.
The Bank of Montreal (Peterborough) is committed to ensuring the continuation of excellence that Sir Sandford Fleming College has worked so hard to create and this bursary was established to support the College and to contribute to the success of its students.
Awarded to a domestic, full-time returning student, enrolled in any program within the School of Busines, with a GPA of 3.6 or higher, who demonstrates financial need.
* Student must have resided in Ontario for twelve months prior to beginning their post-secondary studies.
