Leisa Rich

Leisa Rich is an experimental artist who transforms common and alternative materials in unique ways, utilizing free motion embroidery, sculpture, 3D printing, and more. Rich transforms these into 2D and 3D forms, installations, and immersive and interactive environments. Her destiny as a fibre artist began as a child during years spent in the hospital, due to illness resulting in deafness. Tactile sensations were there even when sound and humans were not. Rich holds MFA Fibers, BFA Fibers, and B.Ed. Art degrees, has exhibited in notable museums and galleries, and been featured in interviews and 30 books. She published a children's book in 2015, and a series of How-To art books in 2019. Rich has taught art for 50 years. Her work is in the permanent collections of Delta Airlines Inc., Hilton Hotels, Emory Healthcare, The Dallas Museum of Art, ProDemnity Insurance, The Boston Group, and more, and in private collections. Rich returned to her home country Canada in 2020. For More Information: @monaleisa2 | monaleisa.com
