Johnathan Wager

John Wager is an Anishinaabe craftsman from Curve Lake First Nation, specializing in Indigenous crafts. He has a diploma in Outdoor Adventure Education from Fleming College and nine years of crafting experience. He is the business owner of Johns Woodenware and has been teaching workshops since 2017, teaching hundreds of people how to make their own art through spoons and baskets. John explores many traditional crafts but spends most of his time woodcarving and basket weaving. He prefers working with hand tools whenever possible for a deeper connection to each piece.
