Venipuncture

Venipuncture is a basic skill required in many agencies. This 6-hour workshop session involves the fundamentals and guidelines for vein selection, a review of venipuncture devices, documentation, infection control and practical insertion techniques. Practice time on a variety of simulation equipment is provided.

This workshop will provide the opportunity to address a large number of your staff in a short period of time on-site at your facility.

This training will offer your facility the opportunity to provide the blood draw services to your residents directly through the use of your own employees with a potential cost savings factor.

Our emphasis is geared to meeting your learning needs. In light of that, we would tailor this workshop to your identified professional development focusing with a proposed date of delivery of the site's choosing.

Pharmacology

The proposed workshop timeframe is 3 hours in duration taught by qualified Sir Sandford Fleming College instructor This workshop will provide the opportunity to address large number of staff in a short period of time on-site at your facility The types of residents and examples used will be customized to your specific client base and their assisted medication needs.

Our emphasis is geared to meeting your learning needs. In light of that, we would tailor this workshop to your identified professional development focusing on your internal policies and procedures. Emphasis will be placed on rights and accountability, documentation expectations with respect to assisting clients.

Mask Fit Testing (quantitative and qualitative)

Mask Fit testing can be arranged for a variety occupations. This course focuses on appropriate Mask Fit testing needs and the related health and safety implications. Participants will undergo a Mast Fit Test that will provide a record for their personal equipment needs.
