Sculpture & Handbuilding with Clay

In this course, you will be exposed to different methods of ceramic hand-building for the purpose of creating representational and abstract sculpture. You will start with making your own pinch pot creatures, and learn how to use coils and slabs to build a final project. During the week you will be encouraged to explore representation and abstraction in sculpture, in order to develop your own unique structure. Experiment with various carving and decorating techniques in order to add texture and vibrancy to your final pieces.
