Examine the behaviours, practices and designs that have been shown to effectively mitigate the human factors which contribute to harm and error in delivering health care. Specific topics include: the use of SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment and Recommendation) reporting and communications, checklists, and evidence-informed practices as risk management strategies.
