This course is designed to develop basic knowledge of the legal secretary/assistant's clerical and practical duties required in a law office. Content includes reception/client relations, effective communications and basic legal documentation used in all areas of law. Students will also enhance their vocabulary of common legal terminology used within a law office, government agency, court systems, social services and current affairs through practice, study guide and quizzes. Prerequisite: Legal Terminology recommended.
