Conflict Management PFP

Course Code: LAWS169

Develop the ability to intervene in conflict and crisis situations commonly encountered in policing. The conflict will be examined from its inception through police intervention. Problem solving and non-violent intervention techniques along with intervention strategies directed toward specific police related incidents will be addressed. Learn to recognize behaviour patterns that may lead to violent encounters and the appropriate legal responses in these encounters. (SA_OEL812) Pre-requisites: Recommended: Criminal & Civil Law PFP301, Criminal Code PFP302, Police Powers I PFP303, Provincial Offences PFP401
