Jewellery - Illustrative Powder, Coating, Rivets & Tabs

Course Code: ARTS2950

Bring vibrant colour into your jewelry work using powder coating as an alternative or complement to enamelling. In this demo-focused course, you will adapt traditional powder coating techniques for the jewellers studio by sifting powder onto metal and curing it in a toaster oven. Learn how to build durable, layered surfaces without over-baking, then add imagery and pattern using coloured pencils, graphite, markers, and micron pens. The workshop concludes with tab setting and riveting techniques to turn your finished components into a pair of earrings or a brooch. Basic jewelry skills are helpful but not required.
