Jewellery - Fold Forming: 3D Forms in Metal

Course Code: ARTS2975

Create earrings, brooches, pendants, and other jewellery pieces using fold forming, a metalworking technique developed in Canada. You will learn how to bend, fold, and forge copper or sterling silver to transform flat sheet metal into flowing, three-dimensional forms with an organic, sculptural quality. Emphasis will be placed on understanding how metal responds to pressure and heat, allowing you to develop dynamic surfaces and elegant forms. By the end of the course, you will have created a selection of unique jewellery pieces and gained foundational skills you can continue to explore in your own practice.
