Jewellery - Water Cast Stacker Rings Workshop

Course Code: ARTS2716

This course is welcome to all levels. Anyone can take these courses if interested. Beginner-level instruction will be provided for basic skills while more advanced users can work on more complex projects with instructor assistance.
Water Casting is the art of melting metal to its molten form and then pouring it into water. This shocks the metal, creating spontaneous forms and unusual shapes. In this workshop you will learn how to melt fine silver scrap, pour metal into water and fabricate a silver ring incorporating your favourite water casting using the process of soldering. Once your rings are made you will be able to choose your favourite colour of enamel and learn how to add enamel to the inside of your water cast components and how to torch fire it.
