Intro to Egyptian Bellydance Workshop

This workshop will introduce both new and experienced dancers to the beautiful art of Egyptian Bellydance. Students will learn basic posture, positions and iconic movements including wrist twists, shoulder rolls, undulations, shimmies and more. These movements will be put together into a choreography to solidify learnings, as well provide an opportunity for student performances for those who are interested. Students will also learn the history and cultural context of Egyptian Bellydance, as well as other regional types of Bellydance, and how this dance form has, and continues to, evolve.
