American Sign Language 2-B

Course Code: LANG020

Expanding on the topics in LANG19, this second level course in the ASL series encourages you to talk about people in a more abstract way and about the environment outside the classroom. You will also learn to narrate events that occurred in the past. Topics include expanding your vocabulary, fingerspelling & numbers, non-manual signals, use of space, classifiers, grammar and syntax. This course will focus on describing places, giving opinions about others, discussing plans and goals and storytelling/ fables. This course covers Units 9.7-12 in the Signing Naturally Curriculum. Pre-requisite of LANG19 is needed prior to taking this course. Successfully completing LANG19 and LANG20 meets current ASL2 standards.
