March Break Art Courses for Adults, Kids and Teens

Looking for something creative and fun this March Break? For the first time ever, the Haliburton School of Art + Design (HSAD) is offering exciting courses for kids, youth, and adults!

March 10 to 14

Courses run daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at our Haliburton Campus.

Kids Art Camp: Wild About Clay (Ages 5–9)

Have fun crafting hand-built masterpieces! Learn techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab work while creating unique projects inspired by nature, including animal sculptures and textured designs.

Youth Art Camp: Artful Explorations (Ages 10–13)

Join a fun and inspiring art adventure for all levels! Explore various tools, techniques, and art forms while unleashing your creativity. Each day brings new ways to discover and express your artistic talents. Wrap up the week with an exciting art show to showcase your masterpieces!

Youth/Teen Quilting Basics (Ages 10–17)

Learn the art of fiber creations like quilts, placemats, and more! Explore techniques such as rotary cutting, piecing, machine quilting, and free motion sewing while completing a small quilt and placemat. Bring your sewing machine and enjoy creative freedom with expert guidance.

Painting the Winter Landscape (Adults 17+)

Capture the beauty of the Canadian winter landscape through painting! Explore light, form, and color inspired by iconic artists like Tom Thomson and Emily Carr. Paint in real-time or from photos, with inspiration from Haliburton's stunning scenery, including the Sculpture Forest.
