Naming Contest for New Fleming College Mascot
Peterborough, ON (Oct. 30, 2023) – Fleming College’s bold new mascot needs a new bold new name!
Fleming introduced its new mascot, the Fleming Phoenix, in September. With its blazing plumage, the Phoenix embraces themes of strength, rebirth and perseverance, representing the very best of the Fleming College community.
The Phoenix needs a name to match those fiery traits.
We believe that great ideas come from our collective community, so we’re asking our campus communities to help us name our new mascot.
Fleming College has launched a naming contest for our Fleming Phoenix.
To participate, follow @FlemingCollege and @flemingphnx on Instagram. Use the Instagram “like” and “features” to like and save this post and type your mascot name suggestion in the comments section.

Participants will be entered into a draw for a Fleming Phoenix Hoodie, valued at $135.
The naming contest runs until November 6, 2023.
