Museum Management & Curatorship students present Ebb & Flow: The Stories of a River City
Students hosting new exhibition at Peterborough Museum & Archives
Peterborough ON (March 21, 2017) – Students in Fleming College’s Museum Management and Curatorship program are launching a new exhibition at the Peterborough Museum & Archives.
The exhibition, Ebb and Flow: The Stories of a River City, opens today, March 21, and runs until April 2, 2017.
The exhibition brings together a series of pop-up exhibits that look at different facets of the City of Peterborough throughout its history. The exhibits also examine the community that has been built by the residents of Peterborough.
“This year, the students of the Museum Management and Curatorship program at Fleming College are changing things up. We will be showcasing not one, not two, but six pop-up exhibits at the Peterborough Museum & Archives,” says Museum Management and Curatorship student Chad Ménard. “From industry to nature to play, we want you to converse with us on the elements make this city so electric.”
The students will host a ‘Meet the Curators’ event on Sunday, March 26, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the museum. All are welcome to visit, see the exhibits, enjoy some refreshments, listen to guest speakers, and meet the curators.
The exhibition is free to attend and is located in the Heideman Gallery at the museum.
