Limerick Institute of Technology and Fleming College sign omnibus agreement to expand academic pathways
Peterborough ON – (April 8, 2021) – Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) and Fleming College signed an omnibus articulation agreement on March 2, 2021. The agreement provides a range of academic pathways for graduates of certain diploma programs offered at Fleming College to gain advanced entry into the third or fourth year of relevant degree programs at LIT. Some of the degree opportunities included in the omnibus agreement are Business Studies with Beauty & Spa Management, Construction Management, Business with Digital Marketing, Computer Networks and Systems Management, Biotechnology with Biopharmaceutical Science, and Enterprise and Innovation.
Fleming College and LIT started their partnership in 2016 with a memorandum of understanding. Since then, the partnership has flourished with multiple pathway agreements, LIT staff visiting Fleming College, Fleming faculty participating in LIT’s annual Professional Development Week, as well as Fleming graduates coming to study at LIT through previous pathway agreements.
“LIT are delighted to be expanding on our pathway to degree completion offerings with our valued partners in Fleming College,” commented President of LIT, Professor Vincent Cunnane. “These pathways create wonderful opportunities for students; not just from an academic viewpoint, but also for the fantastic international experience that they will gain during their time in Ireland. We were delighted to have had Fleming College staff participate in our annual Professional Development Week last year. We greatly value our partnership with Fleming, and look forward to many more successful years of collaboration with them.”
“This has been a valued partnership over many years, and it all started with an MOU,” said Fleming College President Maureen Adamson. “We are thrilled to be adding to the many pathway options for our graduates to enhance their educational credentials with a degree and gain invaluable international experience while doing it. The variety of programs included in this omnibus agreement is proof of how robust and important our collaboration is with LIT.”
