Frost Campus to host Seed Cleaning Workshop

Lindsay ON – (January 9, 2019) Fleming College’s Frost Campus is pleased to offer a free, hands-on workshop to demonstrate how to clean locally harvested seed crops. The seed cleaning workshop will occur on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Discovery Hall, Frost Campus in Lindsay, Ontario. Join seed saving expert, Jill Bishop from Nourish Peterborough, who will demonstrate a variety of easy to use and innovative seed cleaning equipment, and discuss the importance of seed saving as a skill for food security and biodiversity.

A unique array of seeds including vegetables, grains and wildflowers will be cleaned and used for local food and naturalization projects with Fleming College and Nourish Peterborough.
