Fleming College welcoming new students with orientation events
New students to Fleming College will learn about life on campus as well as experience fun activities and a visit from a local Olympian as part the Fleming Knights Orientation (KO) on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
Fleming KO includes both academic and social events, and provides important information and supports to new students.
“Orientation is an opportunity for new students to meet classmates and faculty, set an initial foundation of involvement and success at the college, while enjoying a number of fun activities” says Greg Jefford, Manager, Student Life, Athletics and Recreation.
This year’s event at Sutherland Campus will include special guest Hannah Darling, who won a bronze medal with the Canadian women’s rugby sevens team at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games last month. As part of the pep rally, Fleming College will recognize and celebrate Darling’s achievements.
