Fleming College and the Institute of Technology, Carlow in Ireland, sign an articulation agreement

Peterborough ON – (September 16, 2019) Fleming College in Ontario, Canada has signed an articulation agreement with the Institute of Technology, Carlow (IT Carlow) in Ireland that provides pathways to a degree for seven School of Business diploma programs.

For the first time at Fleming, School of Business graduates have a pathway to a Bachelor of Business in Carlow, Ireland. Eligible graduates can complete their Bachelor of Business (BB) degree in two or four academic semesters. 

“We are pleased to partner with the Institute of Technology, Carlow to continue to build meaningful options for our students,” said Fleming College President Maureen Adamson. “The opportunity to study in Carlow, Ireland will provide students with valuable international experience and prepare them for the evolving labour market and global economy.”

Pathways within the agreement include:

  • Business and Business Administration to BB in Management or BB in International Business
  • Business – Human Resources and Business Administration – Human Resource Management to BB in Human Resource Management
  • Business – Accounting and Business Administration – Accounting to BB in Finance and Accounting
  • Business Administration – Marketing to BB in Marketing

The articulation agreement builds on a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between Fleming and IT Carlow in 2018. The MOU provides student experience abroad and academic and research collaboration opportunities between the two institutions.
