Expand Your Horizons with Fleming’s New Continuing Education Language Courses
Peterborough, ON (December 2, 2024) – If learning a new language is near the top of your New Year’s resolution list, Fleming College is here to help. Fleming is expanding its offerings of in-person Continuing Education language courses at its Frost Campus in Lindsay and Sutherland Campus in Peterborough.
Starting in January, both campuses will be offering Conversational French (Level 1 and Level 2, with Level 3 launching in spring), Conversational Spanish (Beginner and Intermediate), American Sign Language (Level 1 – Part A, with Part B arriving in spring), and Conversational Italian (Level 1 and Level 2).
All classes are taught by faculty who are native speakers of the language, ensuring an authentic learning experience. With small, in-person class sizes and a focus on deeply understanding the associated culture, students will be immersed in the language from day one.
The French, Spanish, and Italian courses are focused mainly on building conversational skills, perfect for traveling, communicating with family, or increasing your skills when working with clients or colleagues.
Students who complete both parts of the American Sign Language course will have reached Level 1 proficiency of ASL, as recognized by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
The courses are scheduled for evenings during the work week, convenient for those balancing professional responsibilities with their continuing education.
