Canadian Forces personnel undergo training at Frost Campus

Fleming College’s Frost Campus will host a training session for seven Canadian Armed Forces personnel from Moncton, New Brunswick and Edmonton, Alberta between January 7 and 11.The Canadian Armed Forces members will learn about water well construction ahead of their upcoming deployment to Afghanistan. The Resource Drilling Fundamentals Training Course they will take at the Frost Campus will assist them to fulfil their duties in Afghanistan.Resources Drilling and Blasting Program Coordinator Gord Bailey will be the principal instructor and the group will participate in field exercises on campus. These will take place on Wednesday, January 9 from 9 a.m. to noon (drilling demonstration), Thursday, January 10 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (well construction lab) and Friday, January 11 from 10 a.m. to noon (test pumping). Please note times for these field exercises may shift slightly depending on weather conditions.The Frost Campus is located at 200 Albert St. S. in Lindsay.
