Jack O'Hara began his career as an RCMP Officer and after 25 years of service, he retired as a Staff Sergeant. He then worked in private security and safety before joining the faculty of the School of Law and Justice in August 1986. Jack was the Program Coordinator for the Loss Prevention Management Program. Following his retirement in 1992, Jack remained dedicated to his students by establishing the Jack O'Hara award, given annually to the "most deserving" student in the Security and Risk Management program.
