Maureen Haines is the owner and creative spirit behind the Log Cabin Glass Studio, in Washago, Ontario. Originally a quilter, she was always interested in stained glass. Upon retiring from teaching high school, she was able to pursue that passion, creating unique stained glass art pieces in her retirement. She has developed her skills along the way and journeyed into the unknown by incorporating old pieces of glass, glass finds and Depression Glass pieces into her work. "I enjoy working with glass. Looking at a piece of stained glass allows me to dream in different directions and then the creative process takes over."
