Kerry Hicks experimented with different mediums throughout her life, including painting, drawing, knitting, embroidery and crocheting. She discovered the art of cold connection jewellery making in 2001 and began making chain maille and wire wrapped jewellery. For several years she learned the art of tattooing, earning a professional apprenticeship while working at several shops. In 2016, she took the Jewellery Essentials Certificate program at Haliburton School of Art + Design. Her studio-based business, Eye Spot Silver Works is in Cobourg where she designs and fabricates jewellery based on specific needs of clients. When not in her studio, she enjoys spending time with her five children, spending time in nature with her three dogs and travelling the world when she can.
