Deidre Wicks is a professional artist who lives beside the lake in Toronto. She specializes in watercolour paintings of animals but also has extensive experience in acrylic, gouache, coloured pencil and ink. Deidre has spent most of her career designing art for commercially produced products as well as custom portraits of beloved pets. She believes in a style of painting that is all about play, experimentation and breaking a few rules. Every animal is unique and it's these distinct personalities that inspire her art. A love of fashion, costume, old photographs and everything sweet also inspires her work.
