Writers' Oasis

Course Code: ARTS2612

This course is an invitation to the writer in you, known or yet to be discovered. Claim your voice and hone your skills in a safe, creative environment. Explore what matters to you while writing poetry, prose, memoire, whatever genre you choose. All levels of experience are welcome. Using a variety of prompts, write spontaneously and see where the mind goes. Listen deeply, recognize what works in others' writing, and give and receive supportive feedback. Everything will be treated as fiction and held in confidence, providing the opportunity to dive deeper. Mornings will be spent generating several pieces of fresh writing. Work will be taken further in the afternoons, with polished pieces being read to the group again at the end of the day.
