Enrol in Sensations of Meditation - Sound Bath & Mala Making Workshop

Course Code: ARTS2547

Featuring two unique experiential approaches to stimulate the profound benefits of meditation, this workshop profiles how sound frequencies can be beneficial to the body and explores a variety of meditation techniques to develop a sustainable meditation practice at home. For those that struggle with a wandering mind during meditation, the use of a mala - a strand of 108 beads - can provide a tactile anchor as one progressively fingers through the beads while repeating a mantra, affirmation, or seed sound. Create a personalised mala from a selection of wood, crystal, and glass beads, and learn to use it with both traditional and contemporary applications. Discussion on a variety of other meditation techniques will investigate the best personal option. Secondly, discover the deeply restorative benefits of 'sound' meditation. A unique mixture of specialised instruments, including quartz crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, a crystal harp, quartz tuning forks, French Koshi chimes, and several other expressive sound tools, will create a layered sound-scape to relax the body and mind deeply.
