Printmaking - Woodcut Workshop

Course Code: ARTS2181

Learn the processes of carving a simple image into a wood plate, inking the surface and hand printing multiple copies of your image. You will first learn the relief printing process using black ink on white and coloured papers. For a more challenging experience, students may choose to create multi-coloured images exploring the reduction method. All techniques will be demonstrated. Subject choice and exploring personal style will be encouraged. Instruction suits all skill levels.
