Practical Nursing Theory II
Course Code: NRSG287
This course builds on the students' learning of the nursing process. The student will apply the nursing process at a novice* level in all health care settings with clients with a wide range of health problems and functional disabilities. Through application of the nursing process in care planning and evaluation, students understand the relationship between medical and nursing diagnoses, and assessment findings and nursing diagnoses. Students learn to incorporate evidence-informed decision-making and client and nurse safety in their plans. This course prepares the students for the nursing skills laboratories through learning the theory behind the skills.
