Student projects on display at GIS Open House

Determining rover trafficability on Mars, mapping the local agricultural and rural landscape in Lindsay, and monitoring the invasive longhorn beetle are just a few of the many student projects that will be on display at the annual Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Open House at Fleming College’s Frost Campus.

 
The GIS Open House will take place on Tuesday, June 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature projects from the GIS –Applications Specialist and GIS – Cartographic Specialist programs. The students have spent the last semester working on collaborative applied projects with real world clients such as the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, the University of Western Ontario, and Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.
