Fleming College offers several programs that lead to rewarding careers FOR WORKPLACE LEVEL GRADS.

  • Aircraft Interior Techniques

    Unique program in Ontario. 2-semesters certificate. Peterborough Campus.

    This program prepares graduates to work in the field of aircraft interior refurbishment, a field with increasing global demand. OCAS Code: AIT

  • Blasting Techniques

    Only program of its kind in Canada. 1-year Certificate. Lindsay Campus

    This highly practical hands-on program uses labs and field classes to focus on explosions, drilling & blasting, geology and safety. OCAS Code: SBL

  • Carpentry Techniques (formerly Construction Skills)

    2-semester Certificate. Peterborough Campus

    Graduates from this program praise the variety of skills covered: carpentry/ framing techniques, electricity basics, welding, and blueprint reading. Graduates may receive credit towards Carpenter Apprentice. OCAS Code: CNS

  • Esthetician

    Fast-track 3-semester Diploma. Cobourg Campus

    Students graduate job-ready with practical experience and business skills by working in the on-campus spa. OCAS Code: EST

  • Heavy Equipment Operator

    12-weeks Certificate. Lindsay Campus

    In a hands-on learning environment students develop the skills to operate bulldozers, graders, backhoes, excavators and other construction site equipment. OCAS Code: HEO

  • Human Services Foundation

    2-semester Certificate. Peterborough Campus

    Explore career options in the human services sector while you prepare for entry to college programs, or for entry level human services work. OCAS Code: HSC

  • Office Administration - Executive

    4-semester Diploma. Peterborough Campus

    This program teaches you advanced administrative skills and business applications to obtain highly-skilled office jobs including managerial positions. In Semester 1 & 2 you will take courses in conjunction with Office Administration-General to learn the foundational courses. In Semester 3 & 4 you will focus on courses related to specialized software applications, event planning and project management. OCAS Code: OAE

  • Office Administration - General

    2-semester Certificate. Peterborough Campus

    This program focuses on both the technical and software skills required in today’s public and private sector office environment and the human and problem solving behavioural skills demanded of all employees. OCAS Code: OAG

  • Outdoor Adventure Education

    4-semester Certificate. Lindsay Campus

    Learn to plan and lead outdoor adventures, and provide educational and interpretive programming. Share your appreciation of the outdoors while you help others develop their skills and confidence. OCAS Code: ODE

  • Outdoor Adventure Skills

    2-semester Certificate. Lindsay Campus

    Outdoor enthusiasts are trained and certified for positions in the adventure tourism industry. Students can obtain several outdoor certifications, which would ordinarily require travel throughout Ontario, throughout the year. OCAS Code: OAS

  • Personal Support Worker

    2-semester Certificate. Peterborough Campus

    This program gives students the training and credentials for a rewarding career providing support for children, adults and seniors with special needs or disabilities. OCAS Code: PWS / PWF

  • Plumbing Techniques

    2 semester certificate. Peterborough Campus

    Graduate with a variety of trade-specific skills that could land you employment with independent contractors or be your pathway to a plumbing apprenticeship. OCAS code: PLM

  • Welding Techniques

    2-semester Certificate. Peterborough Campus

    Students will gain extensive hands-on experience on the most demanding processes used in the industry and graduate with employable skills to assist them in obtaining well-paying jobs in the welding trade. OCAS Code: WTQ

Admission Requirements:

OSSD with the majority of credits at the Workplace (E) level, including English. When Workplace (E) is the minimum course level for admission, (C) and (U/C) level courses are also accepted. Students with the majority of credits at the Workplace (E) level, including English, can enter one of these certificate or diploma programs.*

All OSSD Programs Lead to the Workplace and Some Lead to Additional Programs
