Fleming College Launches New Arts Programs in Cobourg

Cobourg ON – January 5, 2010 – Aspiring actors, photographers and other artists in Northumberland County won’t have to look any further than Fleming College’s Cobourg Campus for learning opportunities. Starting this semester, 28 Continuing Education programs and 20 workshops are available for people interested in photography, acting, painting, health and wellness and music. "The new arts programs offered this winter at Fleming College in Cobourg aim to give people a launching pad for learning new skills in many different art forms – painting, writing, drama, music, design, and photography," said Deborah Clifford, manager of the Cobourg Campus. "Professional artists and experienced designers like author Stuart Ross, photographer Cindy Taylor and artist Brent Townsend will be teaching a few of these unique programs. The instructors are skilled artisans eager to instil knowledge about their particular art form. These new programs are part of our college mission – to provide learning opportunities for as many residents of Northumberland County as possible," continued Clifford. The new arts portfolio complements new and existing career enhancement and lifestyle courses also offered at the Cobourg Campus. Programs start in early January.
