Welding and Fabrication Technician – industry showcase at Fleming College

Published

The Welding and Fabrication Technician program at Fleming College is hosting an industry showcase to highlight the work of its fourth semester students.

The showcase will take place on Friday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Kawartha Trades and Technology Centre.

The Welding and Fabrication Technician program is a two-year diploma program developed to train students beyond the basic concepts of welding. This is the first graduating class from the program.

Using an applied approach to learning, the students are completing fabrication projects, which include fitting and welding on a structural assembly, pressure vessel and applied piping.

“This is an opportunity for those in the welding and fabrication industry to see firsthand the quality of work each student has demonstrated,” said Darryl Madussi, Coordinator of the Welding and Fabrication Technician program.
