The Great Neighbourhood Campaign Returns to Fleming College

Published

Peterborough ON – (Sept. 21, 2022)  Fleming College is working with local police services and municipalities, encouraging students to be great neighbours.

Fleming student leaders and staff have partnered with the Peterborough Police Service, the Kawartha Lakes Police Service and municipal councillors to welcome students living off-campus to their new neighbourhoods.

Teams will be walking around the neighbourhoods surrounding each campus, handing out magnets that provide a link to Fleming’s Great Neighborhood and Student Housing guides. These guides include information any new resident may need, including recycling schedules, city maps, public transit, links to community events, tenant rights and responsibilities, tips on being a great neighbour and more.

The Great Neighbourhood Campaign gets underway in Peterborough on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 5 p.m. at the Sutherland Campus’s Residence Circle and on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 5 p.m. at the Frost Campus residence in Lindsay.

Fleming continues to emphasize its shared commitment to be a welcoming place for all students as they transition into the community and reinforce the important contribution students make in building strong neighbourhoods.
