The First Nation and Métis community welcomes you to Nogojiwanong (Peterborough)

Peterborough ON – (September 19, 2014) – In the spirit of working together,  the local post-secondary institutions and Peterborough Indigenous community organizations have gathered to host a Welcoming Celebration as a way to welcome new and returning community members to their territory. New students and community members are encouraged to attend!

The celebration will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27 at Del Crary Park from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It will include Elder teachings, drumming, dancing, traditional foods, Aboriginal resource organizations, local Indigenous musicians, crafts and vendors, activities and workshops, free SOADI foot care, and a kids’ area.
