New September start date for Heavy Equipment Techniques program

Published

Fleming College’s Heavy Equipment Techniques Co-op program is offering a new start date in September 2016.

The program, located at Fleming’s Frost Campus, has traditionally offered a January start only. The program will now be offered with both a September and January start date. Adding the new intake will allow for greater flexibility and choice for incoming students as well as increase capacity in the program.

The Heavy Equipment Techniques program is one of just a few such programs available in Ontario. It teaches students to overhaul, maintain and repair heavy equipment. An additional semester of paid Co-op provides students with an opportunity to put their learning into practice in a real world setting.

The program has strong industry partnerships as well as support from the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Association of Equipment Distributors, which has 200 member companies who sell, service and use heavy equipment.
