LLF Lawyers of Peterborough donate to KTTC campaign
Fleming College’s fundraising campaign for the Kawartha Trades and Technology Centre (KTTC) has announced a donation of $25,000 from LLF Lawyers of Peterborough.
The donation will go toward the Building Skills Shaping Futures campaign. The fundraising campaign has a goal of raising $1 million with funds earmarked for infrastructure and capital equipment.
“The Trades and Technology Centre will be a significant contributor to both the educational and trades sectors of our community. As an integral component of meeting much needed trades capability, we are pleased to support the public campaign to make this possible. We know from our clients the importance of the Centre in providing skilled tradespeople and technicians both in the Peterborough area and throughout the province. We congratulate Fleming on this addition to their widely respected programs and look forward to continuing our support of their leadership and innovation,” said Bill Lockington, a partner with LLF Lawyers.
The KTTC is currently under construction at the Sutherland Campus in Peterborough. It is scheduled to open in September 2014 and will house Fleming’s trades and technology programs.
“We are so pleased to accept this generous donation from LLF. It is a testament to their ongoing involvement in the Peterborough community and the value they place on education within our community,” said Shirlanne Pawley-Boyd, Chief Advancement Officer at Fleming College.
