Fleming College Offers Fall Open Houses Across Two Dates

Peterborough, ON (October 21, 2024) – Fleming College is hosting open houses across all its campuses to give prospective students a chance to learn about any programs of interest, chat with current students and faculty, and tour the grounds.

The Sutherland Campus in Peterborough will have its open house on Friday, October 25 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., while the Frost Campus (Lindsay), Haliburton Campus and the Eastern Ontario Training Academy (Norwood) will be hosting their open houses on Saturday, November 2 from 10 a.m. – 1.p.m.

Whether you’re an aspiring healthcare professional, exploring a career in the trades, or wanting to help shape your community, exploring Fleming’s workshops, labs, learning spaces and other facilities is a perfect first step to learning about life at Fleming.

Visitors to the Sutherland Campus open house will have the opportunity to take guided tours of the campus and residence suites, and can visit the Peterborough Sport & Wellness Centre, where membership is provided to full-time Fleming students. As an added bonus, the first 50 prospective students to apply in-person will have their application fees waived.

For those attending the open house at the Frost Campus in Lindsay, you can look forward to a number of exciting events, including entering for a chance to explode pumpkins with the Blasting Techniques program. In addition, you can check out the Varsity Loggersports team at the 40th annual Loggersports tournament.
Along with these special attractions, visitors can also take guided tours of the campus, residence suites, and Lindsay Recreation Complex. Students and staff will also be around to answer any questions you may have and talk about any programs of interest. The first 25 applicants to apply in-person will not pay application fees.

At the Haliburton School of Art + Design open house, visitors will be able to explore the engaging art studios, the Centre for Making, and visit the world-renowned Haliburton Sculpture Forest.

Those interested in pursuing a career in firefighting can visit the Eastern Ontario Emergency Training Academy in Norwood, and talk to the faculty, staff and students who make up Fleming’s Pre-Service Firefighter Education and Training program.

Information about financial aid, residence, off-campus housing, and post-secondary life in our campus communities will be available at each campus.

Running concurrently at Sutherland’s open house is a College Information Program (CIP) event through the Ontario College Application Service (OCAS), where 24 Ontario colleges will have representatives available to answer questions and share information from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
