Published

wayne-eardley-2015-1542Peterborough ON – (June 7, 2017) – Fleming College is experiencing record summer enrolment with more than 1,500 students enrolled in the summer semester.

With a total enrolment of 1,542 students, the College has 285 more students enrolled this semester than at the same time last year.

While domestic enrolment is in-line with projections and similar to 2016, international enrolment for the summer semester has grown from 255 students to 539.

“The results are a testament to the teams involved in both our international and domestic recruitment and marketing strategies,” said Drew Van Parys, Executive Director, Marketing and Advancement. “We continue to successfully attract students from our own area, from across the province and from over 25 countries worldwide.”

The summer enrolment numbers build on Fleming’s record winter 2017 intake. First-semester intake in January was 1,238 students, the highest in the College’s 50-year history.

More than half of Fleming’s 115 full-time programs offer a January start. Students can study through the summer and start third semester with the fall cohort. The summer semester runs from May to August.
