Fall registration for Continuing Education now open

Summer is just getting started but registration has officially opened for Fleming College’s fall Continuing Education courses at all campuses.

Refresh your career with business and leadership courses at both the Sutherland (Peterborough) and Cobourg campuses. All courses are taught by experts in the field:

Kris Dawson has more than 15 years of experience in Human Resources and Industrial Relations, primarily in the manufacturing sector. She also owns Putting People First Solutions. Kris will be teaching Business Ownership 101, Communication Tools for Leaders, and The ABCs of Succession Planning.

Terry Moore brings his knowledge from more than 10 years as an economist, financial analyst and change management consultant. He has also served as a human resources generalist, manager and vice president for various resource development companies. Terry will teach Creative Problem-Solving.

Tony White (B.A., M.A.) is a sought-after facilitator and trainer internationally and across sectors. He is well-versed in the world of selling, presenting, leading and coaching and is the author of Make it Happen-Building, Facilitating and Repairing High Performance Teams. He will be teaching Powerful Presentation Skills; Effective Coaching Skills for Leaders; Teamwork, Teambuilding and Team Leadership; and Core Relationship Sales Skills.

Kathleen Gordon has a double major in International Trade and Materials Management and earned the Certified Customs Specialist designation through the Canadian Border Services Agency, and the Professor of Logistics designation through the Logistics Institute of Canada. She teaches at Fleming College and will be teaching the course Exporting Your Business.

Colleen Carruthers is a senior consultant, executive coach and Fleming faculty member. She works with leaders and organizations to improve how they learn, work and communicate. She has worked for many years with senior leaders in a variety of business sectors. She previously held senior positions in marketing, sales, and human resources. Colleen will be teaching Skilful Communications.

Darryl Goodall is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with more than 20 years of experience as a senior financial and operations executive in a variety of industries. He currently runs his own consulting business. Darryl will be teaching Personal Finance, and Evaluating a Business Opportunity.

Steven Hughes, M.Ed., is the Manager of Training and Development for the Canadian Training Institute. He has facilitated workshops in accelerated learning, violence prevention, and dialogue methods. He is committed to bringing positive energy to organizations so that individuals in the workplace can flourish and make their own unique and valued contributions to the world. He will teach Co-Creating Psychological Safety in the Workplace.

D’Arcy McKittrick, MBA, is a faculty member with Fleming College’s School of Justice and Business Studies. He has developed and taught courses in business, hospitality, and tourism. D’Arcy developed Fleming’s Green Business Management graduate certificate program, and the Project Management graduate certificate program. He is also a partner in a management consulting firm that provides advisory services to private and public sector organizations in the global tourism industry. He will teach Assessing Your Business for Sustainability, and Sustainability Habits of Highly Effective Organizations.

Additional business courses available at both campuses include Project Management for Non-Project Managers, Stakeholder Management Techniques for Project Managers, Creating a Culture of Continuous Improvement, and How to Become a Winning Organization.

Continuing Education at Fleming College also offers a number of professional development courses in the health and wellness field, as well as courses in visual arts, languages and photography. Outdoor education courses are offered at the Frost Campus.
