Fleming College Alumni Relations and Education Pathways present their inaugural student and graduate event NEXT STEPS: Life Beyond Graduation.

This event, which is also open to the public, allows class of 2016 graduates to prepare for convocation, learn about their benefits as Fleming alumni, discover education pathways, and explore the many support services available for career and life success beyond Fleming. It also gives students who are currently attending Fleming College a chance to plan ahead.

NEXT STEPS will be held at both the Frost and Sutherland campuses:

Frost Campus
Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sutherland Campus
Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
599 Brealey Dr., Peterborough

The college will provide information about its post-graduate and advanced standing programs that help to add specialized skills to a college diploma or university degree.

More than 18 universities, many with articulation agreements with Fleming, will be on campus to provide information about how to use a Fleming certificate or diploma to earn a degree in less time and less cost. Fleming College Continuing Education and Contract Training can also help students develop skills for career advancement.

Alumni Relations will host its Alumni Photo Booth at the event. Class of 2016 graduates can show their GRADitude by writing a thank-you note to staff, faculty or family members on a large whiteboard, and have their picture taken with the message. The photos will be sent to the individuals being honoured.

Class of 2016 graduates who have already completed their diploma or certificate program or are participating in a field placement, as well as those from the Haliburton and Cobourg campuses, can visit the college’s website (flemingcollege.ca) to pick up their “Alumni Relations Grad Bag” that will provide event exhibitor information and handouts online.

NEXT STEPS is open to the public to offer community members, including Fleming alumni, an opportunity to consider a wide range of professional development and second career options.
