2012 Premier’s Award Nomination Deadline Fast Approaching
The Advancement and Alumni Relations Office at Fleming College is accepting nominations for the prestigious 2012 Premier’s Award for outstanding college graduates until 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012.
Presented annually by Colleges Ontario, the Premier’s Awards honour six outstanding graduates in the following categories:
- Business
- Community Services
- Creative Arts and Design
- Health Sciences
- Technology
- Recent Graduate
The awards celebrate graduate career success and honour the social and economic contribution that college graduates make to Ontario and around the world. Nominees must demonstrate outstanding achievements related to their college experience as well as significant contribution to their community. A graduate of any Fleming College diploma program may be nominated.
All provincial nominees will receive a framed certificate signed by the Premier of Ontario and each award winner will receive a bronze medal, as well as a $5,000 donation directed to the recipient’s college.
Last year, Fleming College proudly saluted 2011 Premier Award finalists Brian Horton, Jim McMullen, Kris Narhgang, Patrice Chartier, Mark Law and Ryan Bullock. Their success stories can be found on the Fleming College Alumni web page at www.flemingcollege.ca/alumni-relations.

Following the deadline, staff and volunteers at Fleming College will review the nominations and select a finalist for each category. Award finalists will be invited to attend the Premier’s Awards Gala on Monday, November 26, 2012 in Toronto where Colleges Ontario will announce the Premier’s Award winners. This November marks the 20th year of Premier’s Award celebrations.
