Mark Your Calendars! Fleming College Celebrating Alumni Appreciation Week

Fleming College is set to celebrate Alumni Appreciation Week from February 13 – 17, 2012. A variety of events will be held throughout the City of Peterborough and the City of Kawartha Lakes to honour Fleming College Alumni.

To mark the event, an official kick-off in the City of Peterborough will be held at 10 a.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall on February 13th. A similar event will take place at 2 p.m. in the City of Kawartha Lakes at Ross Memorial Hospital in the main foyer.

Blood Donor Clinics will be held on February 13th and 14th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the main foyer at Sutherland Campus. To book an appointment online, visit www.blood.ca.

GPAEDC / Business Advisory Centre will offer Fleming Alumni a one hour free business consultation with a business planning professional from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on February 14th.  Fleming Alumni can call 705-743-5509 to book an appointment.

Job Fairs will be open to all Fleming students and alumni from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. on February 15th at Sutherland Campus in Peterborough and February 16th at Frost Campus in Lindsay.

An Alumni Employer Panel for Early Childhood Education, Social Workers, and Personal Support Workers will be held at the Frost Campus Career Services Boardroom from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m on February 16th. Any employers interested in participating as a panel member can contact Paula Walton at 705-749-5590 ext. 1390 or paulaw@flemingc.on.ca.

One of the most exciting events of the week is Fleming Night with the Petes at the Memorial Centre on February 16th at 7 p.m. Join Fleming students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends as the Peterborough Petes take on the Kingston Frontenacs. Tickets are on sale for $10 at the Sutherland and Frost bookstores or they can be ordered by contacting the Fleming College Alumni Relations Office at 705-749-5530 ext. 1390 or paulaw@flemingc.on.ca.

Tickets include a Fleming souvenir and entry into several draws throughout the game for great prizes. Fleming spectators don’t want to miss the ceremonial puck drop featuring special Alumni guests.  Last year over 600 students, staff, faculty and alumni attended Fleming Night with the Petes!  Buy your tickets today, they are going fast!

The final event of Alumni Appreciation Week is the Aboriginal Awareness fair that will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on February 17th in the main foyer at Sutherland Campus. Join Fleming students, staff, alumni and friends as they enhance their understanding of Aboriginal people and their culture.
