Published

Fleming Community Resources for Employers & Workers (Fleming CREW) is hosting a grand opening/open house at their new location, 1550 Lansdowne St. W. (northeast corner of Lansdowne St. and Spillsbury), on Friday, June 17 from noon to 2 p.m.

The formal part of the event will take place at 1 p.m. with greetings from members of the college community, its service partners, as well as local dignitaries.

Fleming CREW is a specialized division of Fleming College. Working closely with its fellow service partners and by supporting its client groups – unemployed or underemployed workers and employers – Fleming CREW hopes to build a stronger workforce in the Peterborough area and contribute to the growth of the community.

Fleming CREW assists clients with career planning, access to training, small business start-up, employer incentives and an array of supports to make the career planning process easier and more effective. Fleming CREW can also help with applications to such programs as Second Career and the Self-Employment Benefit. Clients can also access computers, fax machines and printers for free, minimizing the cost of a job search.

On the employer side, Fleming CREW ensures employer clients can take advantage of recruitment assistance, job fairs, opportunities to gain business support information and mentorship programs.

All services are free of charge. Funded by Employment Ontario, Fleming CREW serves the south end of Peterborough as well as Millbrook, Cavan and Keene areas. For more information, contact Fleming CREW at www.flemingcrew.ca or call 705-775-2739 (CREW).
