Free tax preparation clinics for the public

Accounting students at Fleming College will host free tax return clinics for the public in Peterborough and Lindsay in March and April.

The students are participating in the Canada Revenue Volunteer Income Tax Preparers Program (CVITP), offering free tax preparations to those who have low income and simple tax situations. Eligible participants may include low-income individuals and social assistance recipients, new Canadians, seniors, and students. Suggested income criteria are: individuals earning up to $30,000, couples earning a family income of up to $40,000, and one adult with one child earning a family income of up to $35,000.

This is the first year the clinics will run in Lindsay at the Frost Campus. The dates and times for the walk-in clinics are:
