Celebrating GIS Week at Frost Campus

The Frost Campus will host a special event open to the public in celebration of GIS Week.

Three guest speakers will present on careers in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) on Thursday, Nov. 21 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 250. All are welcome to attend.

The presenters are:

– Geoff Clark, Wetland Technician, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources;

– Tammy Sikma, GIS Manager, County of Peterborough;

– Kent Todd, Project Manager, Spatial Data Infrastructure Unit, Mapping and Geomatic Services Section, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.

Fleming’s Frost Campus offers Graduate Certificate programs in GIS – Applications Specialist and GIS – Cartographic Specialist. And new in September 2014, Fleming will offer the Resource Mapping Technician program. This is a compressed diploma program that offers a co-op component.
