Professional development training at Cobourg Campus

Peterborough ON – (February 20, 2015) – With spring on its way, Fleming College has a range of upcoming workshops available for both employers and employees to upgrade and refresh their skills.

Manufacturing Operations Certificate
The Cobourg Campus will offer the Manufacturing Operations Certificate program, beginning on March 25.  The program provides relevant, up-to-date and practical training for manufacturing employees, or for those looking for employment in the manufacturing sector. It promotes a culture of lean processes and continuous improvement, building more effective work teams, and enhancing individual responsibility for manufacturing processes. PEAK Leadership Training Program
The Cobourg Campus will also host a new cohort of the PEAK Leadership training program, starting April 22. This program is designed to improve leadership performance through a combination of applied projects, peer-to-peer learning, experienced facilitators, and in-depth coaching. Content includes coaching fundamentals, ethics, performance management, change management, teambuilding, and project management. Food Service Worker Certificate
The Food Service Worker Certificate program, offered through Continuing Education, will start in-class at the Cobourg Campus on April 15. Courses include Institutional Food Service, Nutrition in Health Care, Sanitation and Safety, and Quantity Food Preparation.
