Fleming College Hosts Green Event at Frost Campus

Lindsay, ON – October 7, 2010 – On October 19, Fleming College’s Frost Campus in Lindsay will host a free lecture on the environmental sector and sustainable initiatives at Fleming.

Dr. Brent Wootton, senior scientist with the Centre for Alternative Wastewater Treatment, Chris Magwood, Professor for the Fleming Sustainable Building Design and Construction program and Sara Kelly, of the Frost Sustainable Campus Initiative will be discussing Fleming’s leadership role in sustainability as it relates to the environment.

Guests will have an opportunity to ask panellists questions about their initiatives and areas of specialization.

WHEN: Tuesday, October 19th 2010 at 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

WHERE: Crombie Theatre, Fleming College Lindsay – 200 Albert Street S.

COST: Free admission

The lecture is organized by the Fleming College Foundation and follows a campus tour of 150 Grade 8 and 10 students who will visiting the Frost Campus from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This lecture is part of a ‘Careers in the Green Sector’ initiative put on by the Trillium Lakelands District School Board and the Adventures in Green Industry Committee.
