Fleming College accounting students hosting free tax preparation clinics

Students in Fleming College’s Business Administration – Accounting program are again participating in the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program by hosting free tax preparation clinics for eligible individuals.

The dates are:

  • Thursday, March 17, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 24, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 31, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 7, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

To be eligible for the free clinics, individuals must have a simple tax situation and meet the suggested family income level – $30,000 per individual; $40,000 per family; and $35,000 for individuals with a dependent. Please note, the student volunteers will not prepare returns for individuals who are self-employed or have capital gains or losses. The tax clinics will be located in room D1 129 in the Kawartha Trades and Technology Centre at Sutherland Campus, 599 Brealey Dr., Peterborough. Individuals visiting the tax clinics are asked to park in the Birch parking lot on campus.
